Level 1 - Swim Lessons: Beginners

Swim lessons based on the Olympic Style program will teach children proper swimming technique for the four fundamental swim strokes. Water safety will be taught while giving children the confidence to swim independently. Students must be able to listen and follow directions. Beginner students should be able to stand in 3.5 feet of water with their mouth and nose out of the water.

This class is for children ages 5-17 who cannot swim for 30 feet, or are nervous about going under water.

In level 1 swimmers will learn to:

Enter and exit the pool independently
Blow bubbles
Submerge mouth, eyes, and nose
Float on front and back
Front crawl
